Volunteer With Us

Our volunteers play a significant role in supporting our beneficiaries. Whether you volunteer as a programme collaborator organising art activities or outings, befriend lonely, at-risk seniors at their homes, outreach to the public during events or perform administrative tasks, your contribution enriches the comprehensive services we provide to our beneficiaries.

Volunteer Opportunities

We welcome everyone from all walks of life to contribute your time and skills to fulfil the important cause of creating a stigma-free community for healing and recovery.

As a volunteer in Club HEAL, you can:

  • Be a befriender and conduct home visits to people who will benefit from your encouragement and engagement.

  • Organise fun and beneficial activities such as excursions to places of interest, or sports and games carnival.

  • Plan and conduct workshops such as baking, gardening, jewellery crafting or fitness

  • Share your expertise or facilitate in areas such as fundraising, videography and crafts-making.

 

Volunteer Roles

  • Programme Collaborator – Plan and lead an activity, skill or workshops that supports client growth and development

  • Outing Collaborator – Organise fun and beneficial excursions to places of interest.

  • Programme Facilitator – Assist in engaging clients during activities at the centre.

  • Befriender – Visit clients at their homes and engage them in meaningful activities and companionship

  • Escort – Escort clients from homes to Recovery centres or for medical appointments.

  • Outreach Support – Assist in educating members of the public on mental health awareness through events or door-to-door

  • Skills-based Admin Support – facilitate in fundraising, graphic design, animation, video editing, flowchart creation, document scanning, mini-projects, etc.

 

HEALing Friends Training

All new volunteers are encouraged to attend the ‘Healing Friends Training’ to equip them to communicate with and understand our clients better. Essential knowledge about mental health will be taught by experienced counsellors and attendees will hear real life stories of recovery from our mental health advocates.

Understanding Dementia and Depression in Older Adults 

Join us at Club HEAL @ Bukit Batok East on Saturday, 18 January, for an insightful training session on "Understanding Depression and Dementia in Older Adults." This complimentary session is ideal for volunteers working with senior clients or supporting our Dementia Wellness Programme. Members of the public are also welcome to attend!
